The food was amazing. Hida beef wagyu was wonderful. The chef spoke very good English and was very welcoming. Limited seating, but we didn't have to wait. He takes incredible care with his cooking and has made it into a culinary art. While on the pricier side for the market, it was worth it for the experience. Definitely check it out while you're here, it has been a highlight of our visit to Japan!

We had a fantastic (!) meal with a lot of different courses of Hida beef cooked bij the chef/owner of the restaurant while we could watch him preparing. He explained every other course and made us feel very welcome. The Kyoto white wine (light sparkling) was very special. We also learned new Japanese words and laughed a lot with the other Japanese quests. It is a very, very special restaurant and we had a very, very special night thanks to the fantastic chef/owner!!
