We ordered the 8000 yen beef set and 5000yen beef set (excluding GST). We were the first customers so there's no other customers when we arrived. Had a wonderful night at Kappo Prachi. The chef was friendly and delightful, and the Hoda beef was the best I've ever had. The meal flowed perfectly, the different cooking methods and cuts of beef were displayed in a harmonious order. Everything was so good that I couldn't get enough. And the chef's wife runs the parfait and desert store next door and we were able to have the most wonderful Hida and Hokkaido milk soft serve for dessert. Loved it!!!

Had dinner here and ordered the large meat course to share between two people. It cost ¥12,000 not including tax. We really enjoyed the flavours despite not being big on fine dining. The meat was delicious and the chef meticulously prepared everything. The amount of food was enough to be satisfying but not enough to make us both full since we were sharing one course. If you’re hungry maybe consider getting two medium sets instead of sharing one large. Overall it was a good way to try Hida beef and a nice dining experience. One suggestion would be to add some ambient music to improve the atmosphere as it was a bit quiet.

We've just left and had to leave a review. The food is incredible with a local focus, they even have their own beer brewed locally. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, the owner is so, so friendly and welcoming. Truly delicious meat! Intimate environment, and met a nice couple at the small bar while there. I got the 8,000 yen meal, and it included several different cuts of mouthwatering hida beef, prepared in diverse ways. My only critique is that it was a little hard to find. I can’t say enough about chef Shun’s Hida beef tasting experience. it’s one thing to talk about how good the meat is. It’s quite another to creatively pair up the cuts so beautifully. We opted for the medium 150 gram selection and it was more than sufficient for us, but we are light eaters. This is eat at the counter cuisine at its best. We had a great time.

Had a wonderful night at Kappo Prachi. The chef was friendly and delightful, and the Hoda beef was the best I've ever had. The meal flowed perfectly, the different cooking methods and cuts of beef were displayed in a harmonious order. Everything was so good that I couldn't get enough. And the chef's wife runs the parfait and desert store next door and we were able to have the most wonderful Hida and Hokkaido milk soft serve for dessert. Loved it!!!

Had dinner here and ordered the large meat course to share between two people. It cost ¥12,000 not including tax. We really enjoyed the flavours despite not being big on fine dining. The meat was delicious and the chef meticulously prepared everything. The amount of food was enough to be satisfying but not enough to make us both full since we were sharing one course. If you’re hungry maybe consider getting two medium sets instead of sharing one large. Overall it was a good way to try Hida beef and a nice dining experience. One suggestion would be to add some ambient music to improve the atmosphere as it was a bit quiet.

We've just left and had to leave a review. The food is incredible with a local focus, they even have their own beer brewed locally. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, the owner is so, so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for high quality Hida beef and a menu that reflects the best ingredients of the region then this is where you should go.

Truly delicious meat! Intimate environment, and met a nice couple at the small bar while there. I got the 8,000 yen meal, and it included several different cuts of mouthwatering hida beef, prepared in diverse ways. My only critique is that it was a little hard to find. It’s in an alleyway with a bunch of other small restaurants. If you go, look for the black banner with white circular logo.

I can’t say enough about chef Shun’s Hida beef tasting experience. it’s one thing to talk about how good the meat is. It’s quite another to creatively pair up the cuts so beautifully. We opted for the medium 150 gram selection and it was more than sufficient for us, but we are light eaters. This is eat at the counter cuisine at its best. We had a great time.
